An unknown Baseband is as a result of a corrupted EFS partition. The EFS holds the phone's IMEI and other radio information. To check the phone's Baseband, navigate to Settings > About > Baseband. Check the IMEI by dialing *#06#

You'll usually know you've been hit by the NULL IMEI / Unknown Baseband when you observe:

* Bluetooth address is unavailable
* WIFI connection will work inconsistent
* Constantly rebooting
* Fake IMEI  or Null IMEI # (normally - 004999010640000)
* Null Serial number -(0000000)
* Unable to register to network

When you encounter an unknown Baseband and NULL IMEI, the first thing you need to fix is the unknown Baseband by flashing the Stock ROM / firmware for the exact phone model using Odin @ forum.hovatek.com/thread-519.html
Once that is done, you can then write an IMEI to the phone

* Launch the installer

I had seen couple of people come up online to complain about unemployment. I took it so easily not until I graduated and finished my NYSC that I began feeling the heat of unemployment and job hunting fire. Being a serious unemployed in Nigeria Is frustrating and intimidating.

My first ever job I applied for my NYSC, after the application, with even my 2.1 grade I wasn’t even invited for any form of test or interview. Na so I begin apply oo and yet nothing positive showed forth. One that pained me was the one I and 4 of my friends applied for. four of my friends were called and I was left behind. That one pain me sote I began crying. I felt intimidated, that I wasn’t good enough. I felt dejected and down casted. I felt I wasn’t up to my peers standard. All that made me strong.

Late 2015, November precisely I applied for a job in Abuja in an Auditing firm. A friend of mine sent me the link to apply. After applying, I was waiting for a feedback till the end of December. Yet no call or email, or even flash came from them. Na so I just forget about them, filling 2015 has gone with it.

On the 5th of January 2016 I visited my friend of mine in Wuse. When I got there he was having a mini indoor party with his wife to be. They were playing “Efejoku” by Lil kesh. They were feeling the song. Immediately my phone rang. I checked the number calling and it wasn’t a number saved on my phone. I went to a corner that I could be able to speak audibly with the caller. Me no know wetin to answer her. I thought she was calling to tell me that I have made it and their company had recruited me. I no come know the one wey she dey talk about song.

Me ---- Not at all ma, I …..

Mabel --- Our company wants responsible and sound people. Not mad men.

The jury at the Supreme Court of Western Australia heard how the defendant was at breaking point and had become fed up of her "controlling" husband.

She had told police how he was physically violent, forced her to engage in sexual acts and controlled her finances and kept tabs on where she went.

The jury heard the tearful 10-minute phone call she made in June 2014, when she claimed she couldn't remember what happened.

Police said his body lay on top of a blood-soaked mattress and there was a pillow on top of the corpse.

Matthew Curley, one of the first responders, said: "I asked if she knew what had happened.

"She said she did not know."

Defence lawyer George Giudice said Liyanage was a "sleep-deprived, anxious, trapped and battered woman".

She pleaded not guilty to murder.

The trial, set to continue for three weeks, continues.

The world’s latest health scare is Zika: a tropical, mosquito-borne virus that holds little danger for most people, but could completely derail the lives of some.

Most often, the virus which is sweeping Latin America causes only mild symptoms – with many people never even realising they have it.

But health officials suspect it may be behind a surge in cases of microcephaly, a condition which causes babies to develop abnormally small brains and skulls — leading to permanent disability or death.

The outbreak has seen some countries urging couples not to get pregnant, while the US Centers for Disease Control has warned pregnant women to avoid travelling to 22 affected nations.

On Tuesday, US health authorities confirmed the virus had been transmitted by sexual contact – by someone infected in Venezuela who came home to a partner in Texas.

Here’s what we know about the virus.

What is Zika?

The virus gets its name comes from a forest in Uganda where it was first discovered in infected rhesus monkeys in 1947. Within years, the virus had spread to humans in Uganda and Tanzania, according to the World Health Organisation.

Like dengue fever and chikungunya, two similar diseases, Zika is transmitted by mosquito species found in tropical and sub-tropical regions: Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus, or tiger mosquitoes.

How do I know if I have it?

In 70 to 80 per cent of cases, the disease goes unnoticed. The symptoms resemble those of a mild case of the flu – headache, muscle and joint pain, and mild fever – plus a rash.

Symptoms last about two to seven days.

Why are experts worried?

The virus is suspected of causing two serious complications, though it has not been scientifically linked to either: microcephaly in babies, and Guillain-Barre syndrome.

A surge in microcephaly and other brain deformities in newborns has been reported in areas hit by the current Zika outbreak, particularly in Brazil.

Microcephaly cases in the South American country surged from 163 live births on average per year, to more than 4,000 in the current outbreak. Forty-nine babies have died.

Many foetuses die in the womb.

Guillain-Barre is a disorder in which the immune system attacks the nervous system, causing muscle weakness and sometimes paralysis.

Most patients recover, but the syndrome can sometimes be deadly. Cases believed to be linked to Zika have been reported in Brazil and French Polynesia.

What to do?

There is no vaccine for Zika, and no treatment – patients can take pain-killers and other medication to relieve the symptoms.

The virus is transmitted mainly through mosquito bites, so killing mosquitoes and avoiding contact with them is key. Health officials recommend covering up, using insect repellant and keeping windows closed or screened.

Authorities have responded to the outbreak by fumigating and getting rid of standing water where mosquitoes breed.

And officials in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador and Jamaica have advised couples not to fall pregnant at this time.

Brazil has announced a crackdown on mosquito breeding grounds ahead of the Olympics, which will bring hundreds of thousands of travellers from around the world to Rio de Janeiro in August.

Where is Zika now?

The virus was first reported in Africa, Asia and the Pacific before leaping to the Americas last year.

The Aedes aegypti mosquito’s habitat, mainly in tropical zones, stretches as far as the southern United States and into southern Europe.

On Monday, the WHO said Zika constitutes a “public health emergency of international concern”.

It is now present in some 20 Latin American and Caribbean countries. Brazil has been the hardest hit, with almost 1.5 million infections.

Travellers have brought it back to the US states of Florida, Hawaii, New York, and Texas.

In Hawaii, a woman who had contracted Zika in Brazil gave birth to a baby with microcephaly.

Cape Verde, Indonesia, Thailand and islands in the French Caribbean have also reported Zika infections.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, February 3, 2016 arraigned one Sabo Sani Labaran before Justice Abubakar Jauro of the Gombe State High Court sitting in Gombe, on a 2-count charge bordering on impersonation and obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of N242,000.00( Two Hundred and Forty-Two Thousand Naira).

The offence is contrary to Section 1 sub-section 1(a) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act 2006 and punishable under Section 1 sub-section 3 of the same Act.

The accused person, who is a member of an Internet syndicate had, sometime in October 2015, allegedly obtained the sum of N242, 000.00 from one Alhaji Hussaini Mai- Magani, promising that he would award him a contract for the supply of some hospital equipment.

However, the suspect, whose Facebook profile bears the picture of the Gombe State governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, allegedly diverted the money for personal use.

The accused person pleaded not guilty to the charges when they were read to him.
In view of his plea, prosecution counsel, Ahmad Y. Muntaqa, asked the court for a trial date.

The defence counsel, Rahimat I. Talle, prayed the court to grant the accused bail on liberal terms.

Consequently, Justice Jauro adjourned to February 8, 2016 for hearing on the bail application and ordered the accused person to be remanded in prison custody.

School girl hopes to be first Muslim ballerina in a hijab

A girl who hopes to be the world’s first Muslim ballerina has a message of hope, saying, ‘ I can inspire so many other people to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams.’
Stephanie Kurlow, age 14, had been dancing since she was a toddler – but stopped when her family converted to Islam in 2010.
The Sydney schoolgirl believed that there was no chance she could ever succeed as a ballerina – because she wore the hijab.
She is now trying to raise money via crowdfunding site LaunchGood – to prove everyone wrong.

Dad slammed after son won £2,000 holiday by posing with smiling horse without owner’s consent

A dad has been slammed as ‘shameful and stupid’ after a photo of a grinning horse photobombing a selfie with his toddler won them a £2,000 holiday – because he didn’t have the horse owner’s consent.
David Bellis, 31, says three-year-old son Jacob had taken the photo of the pair enjoying a walk together in Prestatyn, North Wales,  when a horse suddenly popped up in the background – smiling and even sticking out his tongue.
Unsurprisingly, they realised the comedic potential of the snap – and entered it into Thomson Holiday’s ‘Made Me Smile’ competition, where they scooped a £2,000 trip, the family’s first trip together.
But the likelihood of that trip has now been thrown into jeopardy, after horse owner Nicola Mitchell told him that she didn’t give consent to photograph the horse – and she is contacting Thomson Holidays to complain.
David has even received messages from Nicola’s friends, who have branded him ‘shameful’ and demanded that he hand over half the winnings.
He said: ‘Jacob is really upset and has been crying and asking me if we are not going to be allowed to go on the holiday anymore.

‘I don’t understand why Nicola is so annoyed about it. I was on a public path that everyone uses to go to the local school and everyone sees the horse there.
‘I think they are just jealous that I have won something nice – it just shows how bitter people can be.
‘At first they thought I was winning £2,000 cash and were saying I should give them half, but it’s a holiday so they are not getting a penny.’
But Nicola argues that the horse, named Betty, has been taught to stick out her tongue – and she could have won the competition with daughter Katelyne if she had been made aware of it.
Nicola said: I ‘was really annoyed to hear he had won a £2,000 holiday and had used a picture of our horse without our permission. He should have asked for our consent.

Ladies, This Is Why You Should NEVER Use A Vaginal Tightening Stick

There is now a new craze for the usage of vagina tightening sticks, or wands for ladies out there who feel their down below is not as tight as it should be.

These are sticks of made of ground up plants, herbs, and other mysterious substances, that those worried about their tightness are encouraged to insert inside their vaginas for two minutes and they are being sold online.

The sellers promise that the stick will tighten and ‘clean’ the vagina, with one company suggesting the resulting tightness will ‘make you feel wanted again.’

Right. So this is for our partners. So he’ll want us again – now that our vaginas aren’t giant caves of despair.

It’s also claimed that the sticks will eliminate vaginal discharge.

And this is where we remind everyone, once again, that the vagina is a self-cleaning, self-regulating, generally wonderful thing.

It’s not supposed to be a pencil-narrow suction cup, and it’s most definitely NOT supposed to be discharge-free (discharge is all part of our lovely cleaning process. Accept it. Love it).

We won’t even get into the very damaging idea that women need to ‘tighten ourselves’ to make themselves desirable to men, because frankly, we could argue on about that for hours.

So let’s just focus on all the potential negative effects these sticks could have on your vagina, remembering that these products have not been properly tested or regulated by any health-themed governing body.

Dr Jen Gunter explains that the chemicals in these sticks work to temporarily dry out the vagina – a very bad thing.

She writes: ‘The lack of wetness and pain from the resulting abrasions may also cause the pelvic floor to spasm during sex (not in a good way) and this will tighten the vaginal opening (which can make insertion painful).

‘Practices that dry the vagina are known to increase the transmission of sexually transmitted infections. never mind make sex painful for the woman.

‘If the Japanese vaginal stick can only be inserted for 2 minutes then it is almost certainly a direct caustic effect from chemicals.

‘But if it does have some effect on the vagina it’s like over washing your hands until they are dried and cracked and bleeding, but achieved in 2 minutes. In the vagina.’

Ouch.

And, as Dr Jen reminds us, vaginas are SUPPOSED to be relaxed and wet during sex. That’s what makes sex pleasurable.

So, to recap. Please, please do not use herbal sticks to ‘tighten’ your vagina. Don’t put any herbs up there, in fact.

If you’re genuinely feeling concerned about tightness, we’d recommend trying kegels.

Your vagina is amazing and can pretty much left alone to do its business. Love it and leave it be.
